New Jersey Pride Professional Lacrosse Team Partners with Short Hills Surgery Center & Salus Surgical Group

The New Jersey Pride, the Garden State’s only professional lacrosse team, has partnered with the Salus Surgical Group and Short Hills Surgery Center for the 2006 season, making the duo the official health care providers of Pride lacrosse.

“The Short Hills Surgery Center and Salus Surgical are clearly the best in the business,’’ said Pride General Manager Trey Reeder. “We are very excited to begin a relationship with their organization.”

Patient satisfaction surveys reflect average ratings of 4.97 on a scale of 5, and patients frequently recommend the Center to friends and family members who have been diagnosed as needing outpatient surgery. “Salus's philosophy of 'Patient's First' fits right in line with the Pride's focus of a 'Fan First' experience,” Reeder continued.

After suffering a severely broken finger in Week 1 of the 2005 season, Pride attackman Jesse Hubbard had surgery to repair the break at the Short Hills Surgery center and was very pleased with the results.

“The center offered me a very relaxing atmosphere prior to my surgery,’’ said Hubbard. “The overall experience was first class, and my finger feels great.”

Major League Lacrosse, a ten-team professional outdoor lacrosse league, was founded in 1999 by fitness entrepreneur Jake Steinfeld, CEO of Body by Jake Global L.L.C., and founding partners Dave Morrow, a former champion lacrosse player and now CEO of Warrior Lacrosse, a leading global provider of innovative and high performance lacrosse equipment; and Timothy B. Robertson, former CEO of The Family Channel and the current chairman of Bay Shore Enterprises, L.L.C., an investment holding company with activities in international media and Internet technology ventures.

The MLL commenced play in June of 2001. The MLL is comprised of two conferences. The Eastern Conference contains the original six teams, Baltimore, Boston, Long Island, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Rochester. The Western Conference debuts in the 2006 season with MLL expansion franchises Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
